Marketing Assistant Job Description
The Marketing Assistant is a key role within the Community Engagement and Events team. The position provides marketing, communication, event coordination, and administrative support to help promote the school's image, strengthen connections with families, and ensure smooth execution of key events throughout the year.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing marketing strategies to enhance the school's reputation and appeal to potential families;
* Coordinating and executing events, such as open days, parent-teacher interviews, and cultural festivals;
* Managing social media presence and creating engaging content to attract and retain students and parents;
* Designing promotional materials, including posters, flyers, and brochures;
* Assisting with data analysis and reporting to inform future marketing decisions.
Requirements for success in this role include:
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with young children, staff, parents, and the community;
* High-level problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities;
* Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Strong IT skills with experience in software systems desirable.
Education and qualifications required for this role include:
* Secondary: Higher School Certificate (or equivalent);
* Tertiary/TAFE or VET Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Event Management;
* Licences: Driver's Licence (Car) (not essential).
