The Costing Accounting team provides services and advice to business areas throughout the Department of Health, working with both operational and non-operational areas to drive efficient resource use.
* Provides financial modelling and project work, including advice on business cases, contracts and agreements.
* Analyses financial issues to support Executive decision-making.
The Role:
This specialist position provides consultative advice by undertaking cost accounting analysis to identify cost saving opportunities and streamlining business processes.
* Undertakes financial analysis to improve business efficiency.
* Develops and implements process improvements to standardise business operations.
Requirements:
A degree in Accounting or Commerce is required. Relevant professional experience in financial, management and cost accounting is also essential.
* Activity based costing/activity based management
* Accrual based output budgeting in a complex organisation
* Management reporting, strategic analysis and key performance reporting
* Budgeting and forecast modelling
* Cost management and attribution modelling
