Description
Process Assistants form an integral part of Amazon Middle Mile operations, contributing significantly to the team's dynamic growth. Process Assistants are responsible for daily management of department duties including: allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, providing work direction and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a safe workplace by following Safety SOPs ensuring the well-being of all personnel and the integrity of Amazon operations
* Support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties etc
* Support associates to deliver great service and supervise them in their daily tasks
* Measure and monitor workflows, track onsite performance, and provide important shift information to front-line management to ensure operational excellence across shifts
* Support the Shift/Area Manager with projects to improve processes, cultivate a safe working environment, and increase workforce engagement
* Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives
* Understand workflow and daily production goals
* Ensure successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
* Identify and address safety hazards within the work area, and participate in safety initiatives
* Coach associates on ways to work safely at all times
* Assist the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
* Provide coverage for Shift Managers
Basic Qualifications
* Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
* Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
* Experience in logistics
