Job Title: HSE Manager
Overview:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in health, safety, and environment (HSE) management, with experience working on large-scale projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE management systems, strategies, and programs for risk management. They will also support the identification and development of project WHS improvement strategies, ensure adequate training and development is achieved in safety-critical roles, and implement monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement project HSE management systems, strategies, and programs for risk management
* Support the identification and development of project WHS improvement strategies
* Ensure adequate training and development is achieved in safety-critical roles within the project
* Implement monitoring systems and lead or participate in organisational review, change management, and incident investigation
* Seek to improve project HSE outcomes through championing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives
* Develop, implement, and test project HSE plans including but not limited to emergency response management, traffic management plans, audit balance of plant contractors, environmental management processes, and safe work procedures
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in engineering or project management
* +7 years in energy or a related project-based industry with Principal Contractor experience
* Prior leadership experience advantageous
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite and database management
* Advanced investigative skillset with proven experience in causation investigation models TapRoot ICAM 8D
* Advanced communication report writing presentation and key stakeholder management skillset
* Comprehensive knowledge of WHS and Environment legislations within area of accountability
* Ability to work in remote areas of NSW which may involve FIFO arrangements
