Your new role
Reporting to the Council, the Chief Executive Officer will provide visionary and strategic leadership to ensure the organisation thrives as a trusted steward of heritage places, collections, and landscapes, and as a leader in education and community engagement.
- Lead delivery of the Strategic and Corporate Business Plans.
- Champion heritage values and foster broad stakeholder and community engagement.
- Provide guidance and advice to Council with respect, inclusivity, and transparency.
- Inspire and empower a skilled leadership team across corporate services, asset management, and marketing and community services.
- Ensure robust governance, financial sustainability, risk management, and compliance.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and service excellence across staff and volunteers.
- Oversee acquisition, allocation of resources, and organisational compliance.
- Represent the National Trust nationally through the Australian Council of National Trusts.
- Perth-based role with stakeholder engagement across Western Australia.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven senior leadership experience in organisations of comparable scale and complexity.
- Strong financial management, commercial acumen, and strategic planning capability.
- Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in complex regulated environments-ideally heritage, conservation, education, cultural or not-for-profit sectors.
- Track record of driving change, innovation, and measurable outcomes.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Heritage, Conservation, Education, Social Sciences, Business, Management or related disciplines.
