As an enthusiastic Gallery Assistant, you will support thedelivery of exhibitions, public programs and visitor services within Camden'sgallery and cultural spaces. You will help create a welcoming and engagingexperience for visitors while assisting with the day-to-day presentation andoperation of the gallery environment. You will need strong communication and customer serviceskills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively bothindependently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work across weekdays,weekends and occasional exhibition or event hours on a rostered basis will beimportant in this role.

* Demonstrated experience in the successful delivery of art facilitation and exhibitions, workshops, classes and creative activities that are well presented and inclusive.
* Proven ability to collaborate and effectively prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a small team.
* Proven ability to apply practical art and creative skills in a gallery, workshop or community arts environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver positive customer experiences.
* Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent)
* Valid Working with Children Check (WWC)
* Experience working with collection management systems
* Demonstrated proficiency using standard design software applications e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or equivalent.
* Understanding and genuine interest in of the Camdenregion, it's history and culture.
