In your role as the Principal Urban Planner - Strategy, you will support the City by:
- Leading the team in delivering a Precinct Structure Plan for the UWA - QEII Specialised Centre
- Leading and mentoring staff, setting performance objectives, identifying development needs, tracking performance, and providing coaching and mentoring that aligns with the needs of the unit and the organization
- Providing specialist advice to senior management on State and Federal Government initiatives, policies, and opportunities relating to the strategic planning of the city
- Working with the Alliance Manager and Principal Urban Planner - Policy to actively coordinate and manage the unit's work program and resources (including budget), ensuring quality work is delivered on time and within budget
To be successful in this role, you will have comprehensive knowledge and experience in implementing legislation and processes that relate to Western Australian planning and local government systems. This position also engages with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
