Lead Payroll Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations for a diverse workforce of over 4,500 employees across multiple locations in Western Australia and Victoria.
* This pivotal leadership role within our People Solutions team involves overseeing complex payroll processes across fortnightly and monthly cycles, supporting a varied workforce covered by various awards, enterprise agreements, and contracts.
As the successful candidate, you will:
* Oversee the full payroll function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Implement remuneration and benefits strategies aligned with business goals.
* Develop and manage a team of Payroll Officers and Specialists, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
* Drive system enhancements and process optimizations for compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
* Collaborate with global stakeholders to align with international payroll standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coach and develop payroll resources to optimize service delivery.
* Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations.
* Ensure accurate year-end reconciliation and reporting.
* Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and respond to external queries.
* Champion change initiatives and system upgrades with IT and HR teams.

Requirements:
* Diploma in Payroll Management or equivalent; tertiary qualifications preferred.
* Proven experience managing high-volume payroll operations.
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax, superannuation, and industrial instruments.
* Leadership skills to manage teams and implement changes.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
* Experience with Time & Attendance systems and ADP GlobalView is advantageous.
