* Promote and assist young people to achieve goals identified in Individual Case Plans
* Assist young people to develop independence and build community networks
* Support the young person's interests
* Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with young people to achieve positive outcomes
* Manage behavioural escalations and assist the young person to co-regulate emotionally
* Domestic duties and supporting the young person to learn how to look after themselves eg cooking, housework, laundry
* Communicate with the care team and report incidents promptly and accurately
* Medication administration (when required)
* Maintenance of progress notes and record keeping
Job Description:
You will create a secure and nurturing home environment for Children and Young People who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse, or neglect.
Your responsibilities include delivering personalised support and guidance, fostering the development of independent life skills, assisting with emotional regulation, and providing opportunities for re-engagement in education and community activities.
Key aspects of your role include promoting healthy relationships, encouraging social connections, and supporting young people in achieving their personal goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with complex needs.
* Understanding of childhood trauma and its impacts.
* Ability to establish trust and rapport with young people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
