DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TEACHER (7-12)
Full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026.

We are currently seeking an engaging and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join our AG/TAS Department from the start of Term 1, 2026. Experience in Engineering would be an advantage.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to academic excellence and be able to demonstrate their capacity to deliver rigorous Stage 4, 5 and 6 TAS programs.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of Stage 4 Technology Mandatory and Stage 5 & 6 Design & Technology subjects and the factors that influence learning and development, effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting, a wide range of resources, including interactive technologies, and their use in teaching and learning.
* This role requires a versatile educator who can integrate design thinking, and digital skills, into a cohesive curriculum that prepares students for future technological and creative challenges.
* An innovative educator with the ability and desire to teach across a range of courses including Stage 4 Technology Mandatory (Agriculture and Food, Engineering Systems, Digital Technologies, Materials Technologies) and possess strong ICT competencies and a willingness to teach Stage 5 IST.
* Exemplary professional practice which includes building effective relationships and managing complex interactions, creating and maintaining engaging and intellectually challenging and safe learning environments, planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs.
* Engaging in professional learning, including contributing to the broader educational community.
* Collaborating with and contributing to a team and faculty of professional educators
* Fulfilling the pastoral role of Tutor within our house-based pastoral system and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students
This position reports to the Head of AG/TAS and ultimately the Principal.
Applicants should possess the following:
* Outstanding experience as a teacher of Stages 4 Technology Mandatory along with Stages 5 and 6 Design and Technology subjects.
* A history of leading and contributing to department initiatives and objectives.
* Commitment to implementation of evidence-based and data-informed teaching practices.
* A strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
* Willingness to contribute to pastoral and co-curricular programs.
* Accredited 4 years of study at a recognised University or Higher Education institution in relevant
subject/s with a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), or a combined or double degree such as a Bachelor of Industrial Arts/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) OR
* Undergraduate degree (such as a Bachelor of Science) and an accredited graduate
entry teaching degree (such as a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) or Master of Teaching (Secondary) in Technology and Applied Studies.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at the level required of all school staff.
