**About the role**
In this role, as a member of the City Works Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the manual cleaning of public toilets, ensuring they meet Council and customer expectations of high-quality service. Additionally, ensure that all plant and equipment needed for the role are properly maintained in line with our operational requirements. The role requires a 6am start.

Key responsibilities include:
- Role model and promote Council values in all aspects of duty.
- To undertake toilet, showers & change rooms cleaning duties, litter collection around the facilities, minor graffiti/stain removal and associated tasks to provide a customer focused service and cost-effective operation.
- Undertake additional duties to assist team members in completing projects consistent with Award and job requirements.
- To accurately record cleaning times for each facility and report any building, plumbing or graffiti damage.
- Liaise with the public in a pleasant, courteous manner and escalate as required.
- Follow all lawful and reasonable directions given by the Senior Team Leader and/or the Supervisor.
- To ensure that all vehicles, plant and equipment are operated and maintained in an effective and efficient manner and in compliance with relevant regulations and Infrastructure Services (Operations) policies / procedures.
- To ensure that the vehicle is driven in accordance with the State of Victoria road laws and regulations.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have a clear ability and desire to always represent the City of Greater Geelong in a professional manner and have pride in the work being performed. You will also have:
- Experience in the operation of small miscellaneous plant and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial and/or amenity cleaning environment.
- A clear and demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills
- Obtain or have a successful Working with Children Check.
