The role
Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with KAEFER Integrated Services Pty Ltd (Collie), is seeking a driven and motivated Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker to undertake a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.

The Role
Over the course of the training period, you will learn to:
- Interpret and work from technical drawings
- Cut, fabricate, assemble and install sheetmetal products and parts
- Operate workshop machinery (guillotines, folders, rollers, press brakes)
- Perform welding and finishing processes
- Measure, mark out and cut materials accurately
- Maintain safe work practices in line with WA regulations
The role will offer a blend of workshop and plant-based experience, while receiving structured on-the-job training at TAFE.

Requirements
- Driver's licence (mandatory)
- Ability to successfully complete a pre‐employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol screening (mandatory)
- Construction Industry White Card (mandatory)
- Confined Space Entry (preferred)
- Working at Heights (preferred)

Things to Consider Before Applying
- This apprenticeship requires attendance at North Metropolitan TAFE in Perth several times a year under a block release model. Accommodation will be arranged and paid for by the company however, attendance is mandatory. You must be comfortable living away from home during these periods and travelling independently to and from TAFE each day.
- Due to operational requirements and planned maintenance activities throughout the year, additional hours, including weekend work, will be required during certain periods.
