Position Overview
Known internally as Team Leader – Supported Hosted Employment, you will be in a supervisory position that will lead and motivate a small team of disability employees as they are in a transition phase to mainstream open employment. In this role, you will be based on site at Cook Medical facility located in Eight Mile Plains. Your role will be to oversee and supervise the team in a medical facility that operates a clean room environment as they prepare and package materials that make for heart stents and IVF procedures. You will be required to wear full PPE medical grade suit including a mask, hairnets and gloves. Our team of 2 supported employees are experienced in this role and are needing an inclusive team leader to motivate, mentor and coach day to day. This role is 4 days per week Monday to Thursday 18 hours per week 8.30am to 2.30pm.
This role will be to guide our supported employees to achieve their employment goals while ensuring commercial success and quota met. With empathy and leadership, you'll create a safe, inclusive, and productive environment where everyone can thrive. You will only be supervising and giving verbal instructions to the employees with positive words and encouragement to keep up with the demands of this unit.

* Strong verbal communication to give clear instructions and motivation
* Oversee and quality checking of packaging materials and ensuring a clean room hospital grade procedures upheld
* Inspire and mentor a diverse team, championing a strong safety culture and compliance.
* Support employees to meet their goals and contribute meaningfully to production outcomes.
* Foster a collaborative, respectful workplace with positive behaviour support.
* Ensure production targets are met with excellence in quality, attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Bring
* Background in disability support or open employment coaching is highly valued but not essential.
* Clear and confident communication skills—both written and verbal.
* A genuine passion for inclusion, purpose-driven work, and empathetic leadership.
* Physical fitness to be on feet all day. Comfortable to wear a face mask and full scrubs all day. This area is Airconditioned.
* Willingness to obtain required checks: Blue Card, Yellow Card, National Criminal History Check, and a valid Driver's License.
