The Role
The Commercial Manager plays a critical role in shaping and influencing the performance and strategic direction of a core business segment. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor, you will provide insight, challenge and decision support to senior operational leaders, helping translate financial analysis into practical, value‐adding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with senior operational leaders to support commercial and strategic decision‐making.
* Lead business case development, investment analysis and commercial evaluations.
* Provide clear insight into profitability, pricing, customer and product performance.
* Oversee P&L and balance sheet performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
* Support working capital management and capital expenditure planning.
* Provide a strong commercial lens across planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
* Support major contracts, negotiations, strategic projects and business initiatives.
* Drive improvements in reporting, governance, tools and commercial processes.
* Ensure strong financial controls, governance and compliance standards.
About You
* CA/CPA qualified.
* Strong background in commercial finance, business partnering or operational finance.
* Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders in complex organisations.
* High level of commercial acumen with strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
* Comfortable providing constructive challenge while maintaining trusted relationships.
* Confident working in fast‐paced, change‐oriented environments.
* Leadership experience with a focus on capability uplift and team development.
Additional Requirements
* There is a business requirement to be onsite full time during the initial months to build strong stakeholder relationships.
* Monthly interstate travel will be required.
