Project Overview
The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket‐wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services. The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off‐board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary
In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.
Planning
* Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
* Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
* Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
Safety / Quality
* Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
* Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
Technical
* Supports Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
* Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
* Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
Education And Experience Requirements
* Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge And Skills
* Detailed knowledge of WA Electrical Safety Requirements.
* Knowledge of the WHS Act (2020) and Regulations (Mines) 2022.
* Schedule 26 Statutory Electrical Supervisor qualified.
* Familiar with Critical Risk Management.
* Knowledge of multi‐discipline construction or engineering operation.
* Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Incident Performance Philosophy.
* Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
* Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.
* Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).
* Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
* Demonstrated leadership in a team‐based environment.
* Knowledge of the use of contracts, and the works contractor's responsibilities contained in contract documents.
* Experience working with, supervising and administering works contractors in an EPCM environment.
* Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
