As a Volunteer Administration Assistant, you will be:
* Performing general office tasks e.g. answering phones, taking messages, data entry, emailing, printing, photocopying & archiving of records.
* Greeting clients and assisting visitors to the centre
* Providing relevant resource materials from the dedicated Cancer Council publications display space
* Encouraging patients/carers/families to make an appointment with the Cancer Support Coordinator or contact 13 11 20 Cancer Information and Support Line, to access the full range of Cancer Council supportive care services
* Taking a responsible approach to professional and personal boundaries
* Being alert to signs of distress and seek support from Cancer Support Coordinator
* Where necessary attend any role‐related training
* Participate in an annual reflection and any relevant team meetings
Requirements
* Basic computer skills and accurate data entry
* High level of verbal and written communication skills
* Professional manner and ability to maintain confidentiality
* Good attention to detail, well organised and efficient
* Flexibility and ability to learn new skills
* Understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
* Positive attitude to the workplace
* Respect for diversity
* Reliable and trustworthy
