Based in Sydney Olympic Park and Parramatta, we are seeking a passionate and energetic Meetings and Special Events Manager to work alongside the talented MASE team reporting to the Head of MASE to deliver requirements for some of the biggest and greatest events in the country at Iconic venues.
Your Recipe
As the Meetings and Special Events Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional experiences across a wide range of meetings, conferences, and special events. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of events while leading a small team of events professionals. You will ensure every event is executed to the highest standard, enhances client satisfaction, and aligns with business objectives—reflecting the world-class reputation and brand standards of both Accor and CommBank Stadium .
Key Responsibilities :
Plan and manage a range of non-match day corporate events including meetings, cocktail functions, exhibitions, dinners and other and special functions
Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to ensure flawless event delivery (e.g., AV, catering, facilities, security).
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a professional and responsive service.
Oversee event logistics, including floorplans, run sheets, timelines, and budget tracking.
Ensure all events comply with relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Deliver post-event reporting and feedback analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Manage and mentor two direct reports involved in the planning and coordination of events.
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to support their growth.
Allocate tasks, oversee workloads, and ensure team alignment with operational goals.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
Qualifications & Experience :
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in event management, preferably within a stadium, hotel, or large venue setting.
Tertiary qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
Experience managing multiple, concurrent events – both game-day and non-event day.
Strong operational knowledge of food and beverage service in premium and corporate settings.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders under high-pressure environments.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days as required.
Previous experience with Momentus
Formal qualifications in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
Familiarity with stadium operations or large-scale event delivery.
Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management.
