Fixed Term full-time appointment (January 2025 to 23 March 2026)
- Level A: $93,065 - $109,033 + 17% Superannuation
- Based in the University of Wollongong's molecular life sciences research institute Molecular Horizons

The School of Chemistry and Molecular Bioscience (SCMB) teaches and conducts research in Biomedical Sciences including Biochemistry, Molecular Biophysics, Microbiology and Cell and Molecular Biology, and all disciplines of Chemistry. SCMB staff have global research connections providing multi-faceted opportunities for knowledge growth and development.

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Research Fellow to provide expert advice and support to UOW members of the ARC Training Centre for Cryo-Electron Microscopy of Membrane Proteins for Drug Discovery (CCeMMP), particularly, PhD students. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling the requirements outlined by CCeMMP. You will offer high-level expertise to assist researchers with their projects, support the daily use and maintenance of cryo-EM instrumentation, and contribute to the development and implementation of postgraduate training programs. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation and submission of competitive research grants that align with the strategic goals of the facility, actively participate in committees and outreach programs, and attend relevant meetings to contribute to departmental and faculty initiatives.
