Capability provides Therapeutic Contact and Transport services to Children and Young People with varied needs and situations.
We are seeking flexible, reliable and experienced people to support our clients, with varied hours of engagement. Most shifts are between 3 and 8 hours in length. The requirements of the role include transporting Children and Young People to and from their daily activities, including education, Contact Sessions, or other appointments, as well as facilitating Therapeutic Supervised Contacts and In-Home or Community Supports.
Successful applicants will be required to install Car Seats (provided by Capability) and will be afforded training to ensure that they are able to do so in a safe manner as part of a comprehensive onboarding from the Capability Family Services Management team.

As a Family Support Worker, you will be expected to undertake the following duties:
* Transporting Children and Young People and communicating in a therapeutic manner in order to assist them to achieve their goals
* Establish positive relationships with Children, Young People and Families
* Installation of car seats
* Facilitating Therapeutic Contact Sessions with Children and Families
* Comprehensive report writing and note taking
* Community and In-Home Supports for Children and Young People
* Compliance with all relevant legislations, policies and procedures
* Provide and participate in appropriate activities with Young People
Requirements:
* Current Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP) or willingness to obtain one
* Police check undertaken in the last 12 months, or willingness to undertake one (this may include an International Police Check if you have lived overseas in the past 10 years)
* A valid Australian Drivers License
* Appropriate working wights in Australia
* Current First Aid & CPR Qualifications
* Reliable, comprehensively insured motor vehicle
