Job Overview
The primary function of this role is to cultivate and maintain relationships with existing customers, while also leveraging past experiences to establish new connections and expand business opportunities.
* This position reports directly to the Regional General Manager AU/NZ, focusing on promoting and selling a range of products within an allocated region, primarily targeting the Agribusiness and Mining Sectors.
* Key customer focus areas will include Toolmakers, Mining OEM and Aftermarket Manufacturing, and General Engineering markets where moderate to extreme wear resistance is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop individualized sales strategies; execute plans to achieve sales targets.
2. Provide technical guidance and advice to toolmakers and potential end-users in respective markets and applications.
3. Assist customers in selecting suitable tooling and products, as well as product grades.
4. Build upon existing customer relationships to expand and grow a new customer base.
5. Maintain up-to-date CRM data, manage the sales funnel, and submit reports on sales activities and area development.
6. Ability to effectively communicate product value without relying on a catalogue.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings.
8. Ensure adherence to established company policies and procedures.
Requirements
1. A minimum trade background is required, bringing technical expertise combined with strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at various levels.
2. Working knowledge of material science, specifically in Cemented Carbide or Synthetic Diamond, is desirable.
