JOB DESCRIPTION
The Intermediate Accountant will prepare and post journal entries and monitor the general ledger to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and accounting policies. They will also assist with analyzing and communicating the results to external and internal stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Post journal entries to accurately maintain the organization's financial records and transactions.
2. Collaborate with auditors to ensure accurate and timely information provision.
3. Review and reconcile accounts periodically to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
4. Review and approve order submissions to ensure compliance with company coding policies.
5. Provide weekly reports to support business decisions and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation is an asset, or 5+ years of relevant accounting experience can substitute.
- Self-motivated, curious, and solutions-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of company financial processes.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
