If you're a procurement all‑rounder who enjoys variety, teamwork and genuinely meaningful work, this opportunity in a Federal Government program might be a great fit. We're looking for someone who can comfortably juggle multiple procurements at once, build strong relationships, and keep things moving in a fast‑paced environment.
This is a long‑term contract through to June 2027, with plenty of scope to make the role your own and work alongside a supportive mix of APS staff and contractors.
Your new role
In this role, you'll be the go‑to person for end‑to‑end procurement and contract management. You'll be planning procurements, shaping documentation and guiding tender processes from start to finish. You'll also have a big part to play in supplier engagement, contract negotiation and keeping track of delivery progress across multiple pieces of work.
Leading procurement planning and choosing the right approach for each project
Preparing practical, clear procurement documentation (RFTs, RFQs, evaluation plans, etc.)
Running tender processes and ensuring everything is compliant, transparent and well‑managed
Working closely with internal teams and industry partners to keep things on track
Spotting risks early and setting up smart mitigation strategies
Keeping an eye on contracts, performance, payments, schedules and reporting
What you'll need to succeedWe're looking for someone who is confident navigating the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and understands how government procurement actually works in practice.
You'll be a great fit if you have:Solid hands‑on experience running different types of procurements under the CPRsExperience handling complex contract management
Comfortable, confident communication skills, especially with mixed stakeholder groups
Strong MS Office and MS Project skills
Relevant tertiary qualifications (formal procurement/contract management training is a bonus)
Experience working on procurements in Australia and overseasImportant details
You must be an Australian Citizen, hold a current NV1 security clearance and only applicants meeting these requirements can be considered.What you'll get in return
