Overview
The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides expert clinical assessment and advice to patients/clients, carers and other health care professionals with complex healthcare needs within the Mental Health setting in ISLHD Emergency Departments. The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a clinical expert who, through leadership, facilitates excellence in research based clinical practice, education, research and professional leadership. The Clinical Nurse Consultant models the CORE (Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment) values of the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical assessment and advice to patients and staff in the Mental Health setting of Emergency Departments.
* Lead and facilitate clinical practice improvement and education initiatives.
* Deliver research‑based clinical practice and contribute to professional leadership.
* Model NHS CORE values in interactions with patients, families and colleagues.
Qualifications
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* Minimum five years full‑time equivalent post registration experience and an approved post registration qualification in Mental Health or related field.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Category A vaccination requirements.
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
