The role
We are seeking an experienced Machinist / Welder / Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Casino Food Company in Casino, NSW. This full‐time role will involve a variety of hands‐on maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our food production facilities.
What you'll be doing
* Perform machining, welding and maintenance work on a range of food processing equipment
* Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components
* Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
* Fabricate and modify parts and equipment as required
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
* Comply with all health, safety and quality control protocols
What we're looking for
* Relevant trade qualifications, such as Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
* Demonstrated experience as a Machinist, Welder or Maintenance Fitter in a food production or manufacturing environment
* Strong mechanical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment
* Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding
* Ability to undertake rotating shift rosters including weekends
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
