Asset Management Expertise is required for a vital role in Australia's weather, climate, water, oceans and space agency. Our work affects every Australian daily.
We provide observations, forecasts, warnings, analysis and advice across Australia's atmosphere, water, oceans and space environments. As the National Asset Manager, you will be responsible for maturing our asset management capability in line with industry best practice. This includes established standards, frameworks and tools to manage a team of professionals providing leadership and advice across our significant asset base.
This includes observing network instrumentation, property and facilities, ICT, software and intangible assets. You will define asset management policies, practices and standards, review and refine replacement and investment plans, sustainment planning, and long-term strategic management of assets within the organisation.
You will also play a key role in the ongoing development and acceptance of the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). The initial focus is on our observing network assets portfolio, including Radars, Automatic Weather Stations, Tsunami Buoys, Rain Gauges and Flood warning equipment distributed across 12,500 sites nationwide.
