About The Role:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas across DCC Industry Group programs, primarily located in Ipswich, with travel to other sites as required. This role involves routine grounds maintenance, rubbish collection, basic maintenance tasks, and the safe towing of a trailer to support site operations.
Working under the direction of the Property and Assets Coordinator, the Groundskeeper plays a key role in ensuring all outdoor areas are maintained to a clean, safe, and presentable standard. The position contributes to the overall safety, functionality, and appearance of DCC Industry Group facilities while adhering to workplace health and safety requirements.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Maintain lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas to a high standard
* Carry out rubbish collection and general outdoor upkeep
* Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as required
* Tow a trailer safely to transport equipment and materials
* Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safety, security, and longevity
* Identify and report defects, hazards, or maintenance issues as soon as practicable
* Ensure all areas are kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times
* Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures
What's On Offer:
* Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm or 7:00am - 4:00pm.
* $65,000 per annum plus superannuation

Requirements/Qualifications:
* Experience in groundskeeping, lawn maintenance, and basic outdoor maintenance tasks.
* Ability to and experience with safely towing a trailer.
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally
* Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or able to obtain.
* Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening) or able to obtain.
* LCS (Licensing of Care Services) check or able to obtain.
* Ability to pass a national police check and traffic history check.
* Open or P2 Australian driver's licence.
