The role:
We're on the hunt for skilled Defence Chefs who can handle the heat, lead with passion, and bring high quality service delivery to the field.
You'll be part of a tight-knit, high performance team delivery exceptional food service to our Defence Partners, contractors and personnel – because they deserve the best, every day.
The Position:
Daily Service: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with varied meal times, depending on the mission or program
Prepare high-quality, plated and buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and events
Uphold catering standards, comply with OH&S and HACCP regulations, and maintain a strong focus on waste reduction
Support kitchen operations by managing inventory, receiving supplies, and monitoring cold room & freezer control
Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions
The Person:
Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Able to work in remote environments, including extended hours and rosters, away from home.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, and food safety and security measures.
Passionate about quality, with a sharp focus on presentation and attention to detail is a must.
Goal-oriented, committed to personal and organisational success.
Ability to obtain an Australian Defence Clearance (DCAC)
