Role OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for a full-time HV Switching Coordinator /Technician to join our Asset Services team based at Hendra. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Utilise technical knowledge, skills and capabilities to interpret specifications, drawings and manuals.
Undertake problem solving and job-specific reporting in accordance with requirements.
Ensure all facets of on-the-job compliance including code and OH&S.
Think laterally and plan jobs ensuring all equipment and resources are available.
Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and team members.
Provide guidance and instruction within your scope of experience & accreditation.
Carry out JSHAs prior to commencing new works to identify hazards and implement controls.
Assist with development of shutdown programs for electrical works and schedule with shutdown planners.
Develop and execute switching programs and HV commissioning plans.
Coordinate HV switching, isolation, earthing, and safety documentation.
Coordinate switching programs with clients and utilities as required.
Experience in specifying and configuring SCADA systems.
Perform maintenance and repairs, including routine maintenance works.
Create detailed technical reports and ensure proper documentation.
Candidate RequirementsMinimum 5 years’ experience in HV Switching, valid Driver’s License, QLD Electrical License, HV Switching Ticket, and knowledge of Australian Standards. Ability to promote safety, professionalism, and effective communication.
