E Star Building Pty Ltd is a well-established construction and fit-out company operating across commercial, residential, and industrial projects in Queensland. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking experienced and reliable Carpenters to join our team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
As a Carpenter with E Star Building, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Constructing, installing, renovating, and repairing structures and fixtures using timber, plywood, lightweight steel, wallboard, and related materials
* Interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation methods
* Selecting, ordering, and preparing timber and materials, including setting out accurate layouts
* Cutting, shaping, assembling, and fixing materials using hand and power tools
* Erecting wall and roof frameworks, panelised systems, sub-flooring, floorboards, and roof framing
* Installing doors, windows, frames, cladding, fascia panels, and roof sheeting
* Assembling prefabricated components and fittings ready for on-site installation
* Cutting and forming timber joints to required specifications
* Constructing concrete formwork where required
* Repairing and maintaining existing structures and fittings
* Working with a variety of materials including timber products, laminates, perspex, and light metals
* Ensuring all work meets Australian Standards, safety requirements, and company quality expectations
Skills & Experience Required
* At least one year full-time (or equivalent) proven experience working as a Carpenter in commercial and/or residential construction
* Ability to work accurately from drawings and specifications
* Strong practical skills across framing, fix-out, and general carpentry works
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent)
* Current White Card
* Current manual driver's licence
* Ability to work full-time hours
* Reliable, punctual, and professional work attitude
