Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a suitably experienced ANUM to join our Acute Services Team.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a valued member of the Nurse Leadership team promoting a values based organisational culture.
The role provides support to the Nurse Unit Manager and is responsible for promoting a high standard of professional practice, whilst ensuring the provision of effective clinical and organisational services.
Requirements
Current AHPRA Registered Nurse Registration.
Current nursing experience in an Acute Medical / Surgical setting.
Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience including management experience; recent ANUM or "in charge" roles.
Exposure to the interpretation and application of awards and industrial agreements.
Computer Literacy
Computer literacy particularly in Microsoft office software.
Ability to organise work in a systemic, accurate and timely manner and be flexible in a changing environment.
Professional, friendly and a team player disposition, who is capable of representing the department and organisation effectively.
Demonstrated skills in leadership and teamwork.
Demonstrated ability to manage emergency situations.
Current competency in defibrillation or ALS or equivalent.
IV cannulation.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or working toward same.
