* Location: Sydney-based role only
* On-site Requirement: 3 days in the office per week
* Why On-site? This is a highly collaborative position involving regular face-to-face workshops and close team interaction, making in-office presence essential.
What's the role?
As a Senior BI Specialist, you will partner with stakeholders across the Consumer Division to support UNITE data initiatives and assist the BI Lead in producing data‐driven insights and reports. Sitting within the Chief Transformation Office in the Data Delivery team, you will work across initiatives, coordinating data provision, assessment, assurance, modelling, profiling, architecture, and migration activities, while supporting data governance initiatives.
In addition, you'll help advance analytics capability through adoption of the strategic Creator Hub platform, leveraging Microsoft Azure and Synapse. You will contribute to advanced analytics and propensity‐based models, support machine‐learning solutions, and perform hands‐on data analysis to generate actionable insights. You will also support high‐quality reports and visualisations for executive stakeholders.
You will maintain a focus on data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with Technology, Marketing, Finance, and business teams to ensure analytics initiatives align with strategic objectives and support capability uplift across the Data Delivery team.
What do I need?
* Demonstrated experience contributing to transformation projects or initiatives within the banking or financial services industry
* Strong technical knowledge of core RRB systems, particularly GCM, with exposure to GHS, Vision Plus, and LIS highly desirable
* Proven experience with Teradata (mandatory), with additional skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark considered advantageous
* Experience and/or certification in Microsoft Azure and Synapse is highly desirable, including Power BI experience in building reports and dashboards; AI experience is an advantage
* Advanced analytical and business analysis skills, delivered with strong attention to detail and high-quality standards
* Ability to prepare, present, and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
* Consulting experience and strong awareness of compliance and legislative requirements within regulated banking, financial services, or marketing environments
