Job Description
We are seeking volunteers to assist us in our mission to reduce clothing and textile waste. Our project involves working directly with the community to implement circular economy practices.
Our goal is to provide a platform for individuals to donate and reuse clothing, thereby reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
As a volunteer, you will be involved in various tasks such as setting up and packing down, customer service, assessing items for damage, categorizing items into piles for reuse, repurpose, and recycle, weighing items, and entering data.
We require volunteers who are willing to learn and take on new challenges. You should have basic communication skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
You will gain valuable experience in retail sales, customer service, and waste management. You will also contribute to a worthwhile cause that promotes sustainability and reduces waste.
We provide all necessary training, including OH&S protocols, to ensure your safety and well-being. You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference.
We need volunteers between 10 am and 6 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays from 10 am to 5 pm, Fridays from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm. Please commit to at least one shift per month, ideally for less than six months. We appreciate any time you can give us.
