Job Opportunity: Electrical Systems Specialist
As an electrical systems specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical switchboards on client sites. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safe operation of these systems while adhering to site safety procedures.
You must work collaboratively with clients and supervisors to coordinate site activities effectively. To excel in this role, you will need to possess a current QLD Electrical Licence, experience in switchboard installation and maintenance, a White Card, and a valid driver's licence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and commission electrical switchboards on client sites
* Maintain electrical switchboards and associated systems to ensure optimal performance
* Liaise with clients and supervisors to coordinate site activities and address any concerns
* Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and regulations
Requirements:
To succeed as an electrical systems specialist, you will need to meet the following requirements:
* A current QLD Electrical Licence
* Experience in switchboard installation and maintenance
* A White Card
* A valid driver's license
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Electrical Fitters are also required to assemble and wire custom switchboards to specification and drawings. They must read and interpret electrical schematics, perform testing, quality checks, and documentation to AS/NZS standards, and work collaboratively with project and design teams to ensure on-time delivery. Requirements include an Electrical Fitter Trade Qualification or an Electrician with strong switchboard manufacturing experience, experience in industrial or commercial switchboard builds, and a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
