We are recruiting for multiple
CNC Machinists
–
Programmer Setters
and
Operators
for our client, a global leader in defence engineering and manufacturing.
These are full-time, permanent afternoon shift positions based in Melbourne's southeast.
For Programmer Setter
Program and edit using CADCAM software (Solidworks, SolidCAM).
Build fixture assemblies and manage tooling libraries.
Oversee machine operations, adjusting toolpaths for compliance.
Inspect in-process and finished products against specifications.
Set up and load CNC machines as needed.
For Setter Operator
Edit toolpaths using CADCAM software as required.
Set up CNC Machining components per drawings and setup sheets.
Load raw materials and supervise machine execution, adjusting as necessary.
Inspect finished products to ensure compliance.
Perform daily checks to maintain machine functionality.
Skills and Requirements
Certificate IV Engineering CNC or relevant experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, Operator, Machinist, Fitter, Controller etc.
Competency with Manual / CNC Machining, Fitting & Fabrication and precision measuring hand tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and proficiency in CADCAM (preferably SolidWorks, SolidCAM, but others would be OK as well)
NOTE: To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – Baseline.
