Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.We have big plans at Cable and we’re on the hunt for an experienced, creative and passionate Visual Merchandise Design & Operations expert to join our team!Reporting to the General Manager – Womenswear, you will develop and create the VM direction and creative execution across Cable retail stores and concessions, ensuring all outputs are in line with the brand strategies.Based in our Support Office in Malvern, this role is part time, 3 days per week, working Monday (and 2 other days).This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, supportive and stable business that truly cares about their people. Join us on our journey as we grow and evolve this iconic Australian brand!Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:Setting the Visual Merchandising direction that supports the product range, key trends, and creative brand directionDevelop creative window concepts that align with the Marketing and Product seasonal directionDevelop and produce all creative and promotional print materialCommunicate the Visual Merchandising direction and window installations to the retail team via VM Briefs and documentationLead Visual Merchandising direction for new store openings and provides training of new store teamsTrain and develop both VM and retail team members on VM standards and expectationsEnsure key promotions and internal direction are executed to optimize salesDevelop floor plans and product flow to drive commercial resultsElevate flagship stores and identify future visual enhancementsConduct regular store visits to ensure directives are implemented and standards achieved according to company standardsSource props and work with external suppliers to bring the window concept togetherWork within the agreed budget and ensure all collateral arrives in a timely manner to install to agreed Marketing datesWork with external suppliers for print and delivery, ensuring material arrives on time and is within budgetResponsible for communicating all VM direction to the wider VM and retail teams, ensuring all comms are clear and delivered on timeProvide continuous feedback to VM and retail teams to ensure the store execution is to the highest standardSupport the Brand with seasonal conferences, including coordination and presentationsWhat are we looking for?Experience in similar role in the retail industryRelevant tertiary qualifications – desirable however not essentialThe ability to travel to various store locations throughout Australia as requiredStrong experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel and Microsoft officeA keen eye for detail and an analytical approachStrong commercial and retail acumenA genuine love and understanding of our brandStrong communication skills and high level of people and relationship management skillsEffective time management - an ability to prioritise to achieve resultsAbility to work under pressure and think on your feetA desire for continuous improvementA positive ‘can do’ attitudeHold a current driver’s License and vehicleWe provide:A competitive remuneration packageFree onsite parking in the office50% clothing discount off all of our brands (Cable, Perri Cutten & GAZMAN)A tailored induction program to ensure you have the best introduction to the businessThe opportunity to build your career with a successful, established and trusted Australian group of companiesA friendly, motivating and rewarding team environment, where achievements are recognisedA highly supportive management teamOpportunities to attend social events, annual conferences and award nightsAbout usAustin Group is an established Australian owned and family run fashion retailer and wholesaler that includes some of Australia’s most iconic menswear and womenswear brands.
