Reporting to the Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will lead and empower a team of 5 Financial Accountants and 1 Assistant Accountant in a fast paced and busy environment, to ensure all month end tasks and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner with financial integrity and organisation compliance.Your proactive hands-on approach together with your people leadership skills and experience, will support your success in this integral position. Your genuine curiosity to understand data together with your ability to translate results will be critical to your success.Within this role you'll be responsible for:Ensure all financial accounting activities are carried out in a timely and accurate mannerFull accountability for the month-end process, including posting of journals, reviewing of trial balance and balance sheet reconciliationMonitoring, reviewing and recommending amendments to the liability balance sheetEnsuring adherence to all relevant financial and accounting regulations, standards, and reporting requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities and stakeholdersLeading the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements and monthly business reviewsLeading, inspiring, and developing a harmonious productive teamThe ideal applicant will have high attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to meet and adhere to strict deadlines.
