JR Laser is based in North Geelong and are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator.
About the role:
* Operating a forklift in a designated workshop area with safety compliance
* Loading and unloading metal sheets onto and from the laser cutting machines
* Loading customer vehicles and unloading deliveries
* Placing sheets in their correct racking location
* Maintain a strong focus on quality and safe work practices
* A hands-on role with strong attention to detail
* Strong experience with power and hand tools
* Ability to work conscientiously and show initiative
* Always maintaining a clean and tidy work area
* Assisting with general production duties as required
* Opportunity to learn to operate laser machine
Job Requirements:
* Current forklift licence
* Be fit, reliable, punctual, and capable of working in a factory environment
* Strong understanding of safe material handling practices and workplace safety
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
* Competent in basic computer knowledge would be an advantage
* Good time management skills
* Able to work autonomously or as a close knit team
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
