We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Travel Agency Manager to join our growing team. Role Overview As a Travel Agency Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic management of the travel agency. You will lead and supervise a team of Travel Sales Consultants, drive business growth, maintain operational efficiency, and ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills together with sound knowledge of the travel and tourism industry. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee the overall operations and strategic direction of the travel agency. • Develop and implement business plans, sales strategies, and operational objectives. • Manage budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and overall business performance. • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets. • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor staff to ensure high standards of customer service and professionalism. • Set staff performance goals and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), monitor outcomes, and provide coaching and guidance where required. • Build and maintain professional relationships with travel suppliers, wholesalers, accommodation providers, airlines, and corporate partners. • Negotiate commercial agreements and supplier contracts to secure favourable business outcomes. • Analyse market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. • Develop and maintain operational procedures, compliance systems, and service standards. • Resolve escalated customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at all times. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, workplace policies, and legal requirements. • Utilise travel booking systems, CRM platforms, and business management software to improve operational efficiency. • Monitor operational risks, safety obligations, and legal liabilities to protect the interests of the business. • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, trade expos, and promotional activities. • Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture focused on teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. Essential Requirements • At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a Travel Agency Manager or in a similar managerial role; OR • A relevant Diploma or higher qualification together with at least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience.
