Urban Planning Leadership Role
This challenging role presents an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of land use planning and policy projects for public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert statutory and strategic urban planning advice, including guidance on land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, and approval processes.
* Lead or contribute to the preparation of strategic land use planning projects, encompassing growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies, and technical inputs.
* Support the Planning team with technical and management expertise to ensure commercially viable projects are delivered.
* Prepare and review reports, presentations, and public-facing documents that effectively communicate complex planning concepts.
* Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
* At least 8 years' experience in an Urban Planning firm-based environment.
* Strong knowledge of strategic planning and related legislation, preferably gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment.
* Proficient understanding of statutory planning frameworks, controls, and processes.
* Proficient understanding of strategic policies, processes, and influences.
* Proficient understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
