About theRole
Council is seekingapplications for a casual relief pool for the purpose ofsupplementing our existing Waste and Recycling Truck Driver team.You will be provided full training and must be willing to beflexible with shifts offered. The shifts may be between 10-38 hoursper week, subject to availability. Work hours are between 5:00am -5:00pm, 7 days a week.
Weunderstand that not everyone can commit to full-time hours, and wevalue the skills and experience that people bring no matter theiravailability. If you're a qualified truck driver, with aminimum of a HR Queensland drivers licence, looking for flexiblework to fit around school hours, caring responsibilities orseasonal work, we'd love to hear from you. We're opento discussing part-time or adjusted shifts that work foryou.
Thisposition plays a key role in assisting with and working as part ofa team to safely operate waste collection vehicles, provide anddeliver an effective, timely and efficient waste collection serviceto customers of Townsville City Council. This position will achievethis by providing waste and recycling collection and disposalservices to achieve a clean, hygienic, and aesthetically acceptableenvironment throughout the city of Townsville.
