Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing intake, counselling, court support and group work to individuals who have experienced domestic and family violence.
The role involves working across state funded domestic violence programs, collaborating with victim survivors using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to support and empower them to thrive in a future free of violence and abuse.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Understanding of the Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act and Family Law Act and their impacts on families engaged in these systems.
* Well-developed practice framework and ability to articulate it effectively.
* Minimum of two years' experience in intake, risk assessment, safety planning, court support, psychoeducation, referral pathways, DVO assistance and group work.
* Experience in trauma-informed care, crisis triage, and risk management.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage confronting situations.
* Strong written work, including report writing, case notes, data collection, data entry and computer literacy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advocate for clients with statutory organisations.
