Our Client

Our Federal Government client is Australia's principle revenue collection agency, primarily responsible for administering the federal taxation system and superannuation legislation, as well as managing and delivering a range of Australian government payment and loan schemes.

The Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major cyber security uplift initiative within a large Federal Government environment. This role will be central to driving the implementation of key Essential Eight controls, improving organisational cyber resilience, and ensuring secure, auditable outcomes across enterprise systems.

Your duties will include:

* Managing end-to-end delivery of ICT project activities across planning through to implementation
* Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, budgets, and resourcing plans
* Leading stakeholder engagement across technical teams, vendors, and senior executives
* Managing project governance reporting, risks, issues, and dependencies
* Ensuring solutions are delivered in line with cyber security standards and compliance requirements
* Overseeing quality assurance and ensuring project outcomes are secure, resilient, and auditable

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

* Proven experience delivering large-scale ICT projects in Federal Government or regulated environments
* Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks such as the ISM and Essential Eight
* Demonstrated expertise in project governance, compliance, and risk management
* Strong stakeholder engagement capability, including experience working with senior executives and vendors
* Experience managing budgets, scheduling, and resource allocation across complex programs
* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear business outcomes
