Are you an Edit Assistant, with a keen eye for detail and passion for supporting editorial teams? Definition Studios is seeking a talented edit assistant to join our Byron Bay post-production team, as we strive to put inspiring stories on screen. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical skills, wanting to make an impact in a dynamic post-production environment.
Our ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to support editorial teams from a technical perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain edit timelines and systems for editors, including file structures, naming conventions, sound syncing, footage logging, and creating string outs and selects timelines.
* Consolidate edit assets for turnover to post-production finishing, including reconciling raw footage, collecting sound assets and creating VFX briefs.
* Archive project files and media systematically.
Skills and Experience:
* 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a similar technical role.
* Strong technical understanding of file formats, codecs, and editorial assets such as AAFs, EDLs, and XMLs.
* Proficient in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively with editors, producers, and post teams.
