The Role
* Study blueprints, drawing and determine specific job requirements
* Select and prepare metal stock
* Mark out metal sections and shape using hand tools
* Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
* Use a variety of welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal products
* Examine welds for precision
* Finish welds by applying cleaning products, smoothing, filling and chiseling.
* Assemble, weld and repair pressure vessels and pipes.
Key Requirements
* You must have an ACQ Certificate III including at least two years of on job experience.
* Or at least three years of relevant on job experience may substitute the formal qualification.
* Clear understand of production drawing
* Ability to work under pressure
* Good organizational skills with a "can do" attitude
* Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment
Salary of between $75k - $85k plus superannuation
