The newly renovated Citadines Elizabeth Street Pier Hobart now seeks an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated person to join the Front Office team as Maintenance Manager. This full-time role will report to the General Manager and work closely with other departments. Citadines Elizabeth Street Pier Hobart is set to open its doors in July 2026.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance operations to ensure all facilities meet Ascott International’s brand and service standards.
* Managing budgets, forecasting expenditures, and implementing cost-saving initiatives, including energy efficiency programs.
* Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations, conducting inspections, and overseeing contractor inductions.
* Monitoring and optimising energy and utility consumption through regular meter readings and conservation initiatives.
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, contractor performance, and asset documentation to support audits and compliance.
To be successful in this role you must have:
* Proven experience in managing property or hotel maintenance operations within a hospitality or service-focused environment.
* Strong knowledge of OHS, legal compliance requirements, and technical systems such as electrical, firefighting, and safety equipment.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise urgent guest-related issues.
* Demonstrated financial acumen in budgeting, expenditure control, and implementing resource-efficient maintenance strategies.
* Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
