Job Overview
Ventia is seeking a seasoned SHEQ professional to contribute to the Seqwater contract. The ideal candidate will have a 30% office-based and 70% field-based role, conducting hazard & compliance inspections, risk assessments & ensuring compliance across the Seqwater network.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
* Identifying and monitoring compliance with Ventia's Critical Risk Protocols, ensuring alignment with operational activities.
* Coordinating and conducting assurance audits and inspections in accordance with scheduled plans, delivering within specified timeframes and developing SMART corrective actions.
* Providing guidance and support on the implementation and continuous improvement of SHEQ processes across the project.
* Managing incident reporting and corrective actions in Vensafe, ensuring timely entry, tracking, and closure.
* Leading investigations using ICAM methodology and other tools to address hazards, risks, and compliance issues.
* Conducting third-party audits of subcontractors to verify compliance with project requirements and SHEQ standards.
* Supporting and promoting environmental initiatives, driving performance improvements in line with environmental management plans.
* Monitoring workplace compliance and proactively addressing non-conformances.
* Assisting with workers' compensation and injury management processes, ensuring effective support.
* Leading by example, fostering a positive safety culture and consistently demonstrating core safety values.
Requirements
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety.
* 5+ years of experience as a SHEQ Advisor on maintenance contracts or similar.
* ICAM training investigations certificate (Desirable).
* Lead Auditor Training or internal equivalent (Desirable).
* Construction white card.
* Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - HLTAID001 (Desirable).
* Provide First Aid - HLTAID003 (Desirable).
* Current C Class Driver Licence.
