We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic customer focused go-getter to join the Heidelberg Materials Australia team in Gisborne, Victoria.
Approx.
1 hour north of Melbourne.
The Concrete Batcher has excellent career development potential with the opportunity to learn about concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching, scheduling, and logistics whilst working in the construction industry.

Candidates from all industries (i.e., hospitality, logistics, agriculture, supply chain, commerce, fast food, manufacturing, mining, health) are encouraged to apply – we're just looking for great people with a positive can-do attitude... we'll teach the rest
If you do have batching or concrete experience that is great but it is not a pre-requisite.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with early morning starts, and rostered Saturday work according to business needs.
Responsibilities
Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant
Operating a front-end loader (FEL)
Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders & scheduling deliveries
Working in a high performing team, collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Heidelberg Materials and the customer
Able to demonstrate safety and show coach and mentoring potential
Ensure all products adhere to strict quality requirements
Monitoring all plant and equipment, scheduling & conducting maintenance as required
Managing maintenance & production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling
Qualifications
Looking for a career change and want to work in the construction industry
Have the drive to succeed, can work and without supervision
Effective communicator with a team mentality
Seek a flexible roster that includes Saturday work and reasonable overtime
Looking to obtain a Construction Card / White Card
Able to operate with and support our Zero Harm safety policy
Can physically perform all tasks associated with the position
Benefits
Great hourly rate starting at $*****, with higher rates, up to $*****/hour, depending on experience and competency level.
Monday – Friday + rostered Saturday mornings finishing up around lunch time.
Opportunity for overtime, pending the workload
