WACHS mental health services provide a broad range of clinical services including face to face and virtual service delivery formats.

Since being released in March 2022, the Final Report of the Ministerial Taskforce into Public Mental Health Services for Infants, Children and Adolescent aged 0 – 18 years in Western Australia has informed the funding priorities of the Mental Health Commission.
As part of this, WACHS MHCO has received new funding to establish the WACHS ICAMHS Specialist Hub (WISH), with the expectation the service commences 1 July 2026. WISH will operate as an adjunct to local ICAMHS teams, embedding specialist assessment, treatment, intervention, consultation and review as a remote member of the regional care team. In addition to clinical service delivery, WISH plays a critical capacity building role by supporting regional ICAMHS workforce capability and development, strengthening clinical networks, and supporting sustainable models of specialist care delivery aligned with contemporary, trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
Position profile: WACHS MHCO is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Family Therapy Specialist.
This Family Therapist Specialist role is responsible for specialist assessment, treatment, intervention, consultation and review as a remote member of the regional care team, utilising advanced clinical skills in their specialty area, predominantly via telehealth.
In addition to clinical service delivery, the Family Therapist Specialist role is responsible for capacity building by supporting workforce capability and development, supervision, mentoring, strengthening clinical networks, and supporting sustainable models of specialist care delivery aligned with contemporary, trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice, in their specialty area or discipline.

Responsibilities
* Perform specialist assessment, treatment, intervention, consultation and review as a remote member of the regional care team, predominantly via telehealth.
* Deliver clinical services in alignment with trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
* Support capacity building by strengthening workforce capability and development, supervision and mentoring within the ICAMHS specialty area.
* Strengthen clinical networks and contribute to sustainable models of specialist care delivery.
* Collaborate with local ICAMHS teams to embed specialist care as part of the regional care model.
