About the job
The Quality Specialist is responsible for driving process optimisation and continuous improvement across the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and internal standards. Reporting directly to the Head of Quality you will balance compliance activities with ongoing optimisations activities. Your responsibilties will include:
* Maintain and create an effective and compliant Quality Management system in accordance with all applicable local regulatory / International standards.
* Champion quality assurance processes and strategy, driving process optimisation and sustainable improvements across PharmaCare Manufacturing and Business Units.
* Maintain Quality metrics. Summarise Quality performance measures into actions
* Provide targeted operational quality support focused on backlog reduction and compliance risk mitigation in key areas such as Batch release, specification reviews, APQRs, temperature excursions, document control and returns/rejects
* Prioritise support based on regulatory risk, audit readiness and business impact, ensuring timely closure of critical quality activities
* Support stabilisation of processes before transitioning ownership back to BAU teams
* Coordinate activities required for customer and product compliance including internal /external auditing, preventative & corrective action systems, ensuring completion and maintenance of Quality records and documentation
* Support business units with quality oversight
* Investigate, develop and implement action plans to reduce non-conformance frequency and impact
* Drive and implement Lean Quality plans and principles throughout the PharmaCare
About you
* Experience in a related role
* Degree qualified in a science discipline
* You enjoy problem slving and contiuous improvement. You strive to overcome obstacles efficiently and effectively
* Ability to balance strategic continuous improvement with short term operational priorities
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment, building positive relationships whilst always keeping an eye on managing quality risk
* As a specialist you will be able to play a leading role in certain projects/activities and be able to step in to present training on new or updated processes when needed
* You demonstrate excellent team work and stakeholder management, participating collaboratively with individuals and departments.
* You are well orgnised, follow through on commitments and keep stakeholders up to date.
* You take ownership and always strive to find a better way of doing things.
