About the Role
As our new Human Resources Officer, you'll be right at the heart of day-to-day HR operations. From processing weekly and monthly payroll to coordinating onboarding and recruitment admin, you'll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly. This is a great role for someone with early HR or payroll experience who is looking to broaden their skills and grow in a practical, real-world environment.
What You'll Do
* Prepare and process accurate weekly and monthly payroll for our team
* Maintain and update employee records in our HRIS system (HIBOB)
* Draft and issue contracts, variation letters, and onboarding documentation
* Coordinate recruitment processes including job ads, interview scheduling, and compliance checks
* Monitor timesheets and leave forms, and ensure timely payroll submissions
* Support compliance, reporting, and general HR administration tasks
* Respond to internal HR queries and provide process guidance where needed
What You'll Bring
* Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or similar (or currently studying)
* Some experience in HR administration or payroll (construction experience a bonus)
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (we use Xero and HIBOB)
* A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
